Responsible for performing health care payment and regulatory research, financial data analysis and compilation, unpaid account follow-up and resolutions, client training, operational reviews for improved internal control and overall performance, and other financial consulting projects.
Responsibilities
Perform examinations of health care facilities' financial and operational environments.
Operate independently during interaction with client staff, with little direction from direct supervisor.
Make recommendations to improve overall effectiveness and delivery of services.
May involve acting in an interim management role for a client.
Follow established work programs in performing account analysis, financial processing, reviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations for the correction and improvement of internal, operational, and management control systems and organizational unit performance.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Health Policy Administration.
At least 1 year of experience in health care financial administration or consulting.
Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail.
Working and academic knowledge of standard accounting practices/ procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Access.
Ability to negotiate effectively, analyze and perform routine and complex problem resolution.

Expectations
Normal office environment including but not limited to: long periods of sitting, typing, analyzing data, telephone communication, use of standard office equipment and daily personal interaction.
Ability to travel between client sites and out-of-town travel is required.
