Compensation Range:81,800-110,000


Job Purpose


Develop, implement and realize the sales/service and/or business plan and develop, structure and managethe assigned area/unit with in the overall business strategy, in order to realize commercial and business objectives

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • The work involved is related to the overall management and general business of the Field Sales and Service area

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the Sales & Service area

  • Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, local regulations, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and ISO9000 requirements

  • Monitors training of field staff/coordinators to insure appropriateness based on position and job duties. Assist the field/service techs and coordinators to ensure required training is completed in accordance with state, government policies and completed in a timely manner

  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all building operations such as HVAC, electrical, telephones, safety equipment and company machinery

  • May need to work closely with the Manager of Real Estate during lease renewals, facility expansions, and relocations

  • Provides support, direction, and coaching to subordinate employees in the areas of disciplinary action and problem resolution

  • Assists with planning and development of area budgets and monitors expenditures

  • Function as the primary conduit for the flow of Company information to and from the Area; Assists in the development of plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees

  • Manage all Scrap and Used Equipment purchasing and resale costing

  • Assist Sales and Service Managers with daily processes and policies; ability to travel to service centers/customer sites

  • Coordinating shipping, receiving, distribution, warehousing, and service activities; Developing plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees

  • Reviewing production costs and product quality and modifying production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the Service Center

  • Reviewing and analyzing management reports including full Profit and Loss responsibility and taking corrective action

  • Conducting meetings with sales staff to promote service and team effort

  • Depending upon location of position, this job could require a technical background, as well as warranty, inventory and shipping responsibilities

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • This position may have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Travel for this position can be extensive

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications


  • Associates Degree and 3 years of related experience or High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 4+years related experience and/or combination of education and experience

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

  • Must be proficient in the used of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint

  • Order entry processing and inventory control through the BaaN system

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with BaaN inventory and order processing software and SAP

General Job Requirements



  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.

  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.

  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
