Job Description:

Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for an entry level Accountant at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas.  The Accountant will assist Corporate Financial Services in preparing timely and accurate financial reports.  This position will also be responsible for providing support for budgeting and forecasting processes as well as completing a variety of accounting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and various detailed analyses.


• Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports to the Board of Directors, CEO, CFO, banks, bonding and leasing companies.


• Assist in preparation and support of the external audit.


• Assist in budgeting and forecasting process for corporate departments.


• Develop financial reports using FMW software and provide report writing support to other FMW users.


• Assist in process of allocating corporate expenses to operating companies.


• Assist with the corporate general ledger accounting function.


• Perform GL reconciliations.


• Managing fixed assets for entire enterprise.


• Complete special projects at the request of management.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting


• Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred but not required


• 1 year of experience within an accounting department preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office


• Strong analytical skills


• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work with all levels within the company


• Ability to work well in a team environment


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment


• Willing to work overtime as needed


• FMW and CMiC experience a plus
