Overview
This position is responsible for physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Quality service is expected to be provided to customers at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of custodial or related experience.


• Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract.


• Must understand oral and/or written instructions.


• Must interact appropriately with customers, government personnel and staff members.


• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Role Functions

• Manually load or unload freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices.


• Unpack, shelve, or place items in proper storage locations.


• Transport goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.


• Traveling beyond the establishment's physical location to load or unload merchandise.

Physical Requirements

• Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon and/or evening hours; as well as weekends, overtime and Holidays.


• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 40 pounds. Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
