The Business Process Specialist is responsible for the design of business processes and configuration of the ERP system for Operations, which includes discrete manufacturing, warehouse management (telnet) and quality modules. This person ensures that the configured system conforms to the enterprise-wide design approach while meeting the needs of end users and maximizing value to shareholders.
The Business Process Specialist will be based out of the corporate office in Oak Brook, IL and will report to the Director of Information Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (performs other duties as assigned)
Interviews business users, reviews documentation and facilitates working sessions.
Applies knowledge of business process modeling to capture as is and to be process flows.
Customizes functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design.
Performs functional tests to ensure configuration meets the Business requirements.
Troubleshoots user issues through knowledge of Oracle workflows, forms, reports and good understanding of business functionality.
Meets with business owners on new functionality requests and production issues and develop requirements and process flow specifications based on AIM Methodology.
Defines and addresses change management processes within the user community.
Promotes to-be/future state processes integration across functional organizations to ensure needed support.
Resolves process issues utilizing pre-defined governance processes.
Ensures that issues are escalated accordingly to the Management team.
Coordinates system and process enablement activities including all change management components (organization impact, communications and training).
Assists with the configuration and testing of the ERP system by handling a wide variety of tasks related to data, data integrity and data conversion.
Applies logical and critical thinking to problems, using data/information analyses to support conclusions and proposed solutions.
Performs ad hoc data analyses to support effective business decisions.
Communicates the results of data analysis to peers and to project leaders, challenging status quo thinking where appropriate.
Uses effective business relationships throughout the organization to effect process improvement and promote new approaches to business issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED with five years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work on project teams
Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
Flexible attitude toward work schedule and requirements, with ability to adapt to rapid changes in the work environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and solid data analysis skills: spreadsheet, database, basic statistic packages
Good presentation skills
Good knowledge and experience with process modeling
Knowledge of the integration points between each process/functional area (depending on support role these could include Order to Cash, Procure To Pay, Forecasting and Planning, Manufacturing and Transportation)
Ability to participate in the development and implementation of a process design for the enterprise
Good knowledge of workflows, forms, reports and extensions for the respective modules
Ability to work directly with end-users for training on business processes and resolution of end-user issues
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Experience in metals industry
Work experience in project management or data analysis
Experience supporting version 11.5.10.R2 of Oracle
