The Financial Analyst will work with the fee-earners and their team to perform various forms of financial analysis. In this role, the Financial Analyst will support the fee-earner in pursuit of prospect clients and the servicing of clients from an analytical perspective. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst, will provide strategic and detailed analysis, planning, research and reporting across the real estate portfolio. This position will report to the local Operations manager and will receive day-to-day feedback from fee-earners.
Job Description
Argus and Financial Modeling
Performs financial analysis (Excel and ARGUS modeling)
Prepares cash flow scenarios and financial summary packages using approved software in support of the company's various lines of business
Provides recommendations to brokers based on analyses results
Interact with client with questions relating to analysis
Demonstrates continual development of modeling skills and competencies with increasing complexity and scope of the position with time in the role
Reads, abstracts and analyzes legal real estate related documentation - i.e., leases and financial statements for relevant financial information that will have an impact on the real estate financial analysis
Preparation of Offering Memorandums, Proposals and Broker Opinions of Value
Draft and preparation of Offering Memorandums, Broker Opinions of Value and Proposals
Prepares clear concise summary documentation and spreadsheets that support and explain the basis of the analyses for use in client presentations, proposals and/or offerings
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
Participate in client meetings with C&W brokers or other C&W professionals to present and discuss their analyses
Collaborate with other C&W service lines including Asset Services, Research, and Leasing
Participate in all Financial Analysis calls and meetings
Comply with all project and pipeline reporting requirements for Financial Analysis
Observe trends in the Florida office and industrial market, as well as macro fundamentals in the capital and debt markets
Conduct market research and track data in conjunction with research team
Complete property inspections, tours and tenant interviews
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or related business areas
Software competency:
Required: Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint,
Required: Argus DCF
Preferred: Argus Enterprise
Required Skills
Strong communication skills - verbal and written
Basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets / models, ARGUS, and other specialized financial software; Displays competences with application of Excel macros, sophisticated charts, graphs, and tables
Strong knowledge and demonstrated competence in working with computers, analytical and word processing software including (Microsoft Office, ARGUS, ) as well as superior knowledge and skill using Excel, PowerPoint and Internet applications
Ability to prepare written and conduct oral presentations as well as communicate accurately, effectively and persuasively
Possess a deep competency in commercial real estate, finance and a proficiency in working with numbers
Demonstrates attention to detail and can efficiently perform basic error-free analyses
