Primary responsibility includes software development and testing for the Facets claims processing platform.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Must have ability to support stored procedures and ETL processes on Sybase and SQL Server database platforms.
Functional knowledge of health insurance concepts including member eligibility, claims processing, provider demographic data, and member/group billing data a plus.
Represents team in advisory and decision-making capacity while participating in corporate projects.
Serves in a consulting capacity to gather and assist in documenting business requirements. Provides technical input into solution architecture on small to medium size projects.
Provides guidance to business analysts who will be responsible for additional requirement and/or solution documentation.
Must support departmental operational processes including on call rotation, production support activities and incident/management procedures.
Job Requirements (Required)
2 years’ experience in application development role
SQL Development skills
Stored procedure development experience on Sybase and/or Microsoft SQL Server
ETL development experience (Informatica PowerCenter preferred)
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate into solution design
Ability to develop and perform unit testing to ensure high-level of quality upon delivery to business customers
Business and Technical Skills (Preferred)
Experience with Facets data model
Experience with Windows PowerShell
Health Insurance background
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Ability to communicate to broad audience in formal setting as well as informal communications in smaller group or one on one sessions
Demonstrates strong leadership skills
Demonstrates cross functional skills to work on teams in support of corporate projects
Ability to provide/recommend technical solutions to meet business needs
Ability to act as a positive change agent and influence others
