Safety Compliance Specialist

About You

You're an independent and objective thinker who doesn't need a lot of supervision to get the job done. You have a keen eye for identifying potential issues, and you like to work as part of a team to create solutions. You're looking for a position where you can work both inside and outdoors. You're not afraid to research solutions when you don't know the answer. Training comes naturally to you, and you enjoy sharing your knowledge and know-how with others.

Day in the Life

After grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you:

• Head to your office, start up your computer, and review the day's schedule


• Work on training items for the site (you'll be our resident expert!). This means you will:
  
  
  • Plan, organize and/or lead training sessions
  
  
  • Work with compliance specialists to track training
  
  
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings
  
  
  
  


• Order any necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for our teams


• Check in with operators in the field to ensure safe practices are being followed


• Identify hazards and formulate solutions with the team


• Visit our off-site rail facility


• Provide sound recommendations to keep our site safe


• Conduct incident investigations


• Come up with corrective actions

What you need to apply

• Bachelor's degree (BS in related field preferred, i.e. Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene)


• Moderate computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office Suite)


• 1-3 years of related experience preferred


• Willing to wear a respirator and/or PPE as needed


• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
