What you'll do:

As a Senior Marketing Manager, Banking you'll use your industry domain knowledge in combination with your marketing skills to develop and execute marketing strategies and programs in support of company goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the eight core competencies of the modern marketer: customer-centric, digital mindset, growth mindset, innovative and creative, analytically curious, storyteller, emotional intelligence, and collaborator.

You will:

    Support the vision of the Global Industry Marketing Practice to be the global unifying catalyst and champion of industry-centered marketing and empower and support industry-obsessed selling.
  • Provide trusted and credible industry expertise globally both internally and externally.

  • Drive industry-centered market engagement.

  • Use Banking domain knowledge to develop positioning and messaging that drives relevance in the marketplace - about SAS, our products, the business problems we solve, and the business value we drive.

  • Support the development and execution of the Global Integrated Marketing Plan for Banking.

  • Define buyer and influencer personas, end users and target audience profiles.

  • Produce content for internal/external web and printed collateral.

  • Work with counterparts in Sales Training & Development to ensure content excellence for the Banking assets in enablement systems.

  • Perform content audits of internal content repositories and update or retire assets as required.

  • Support field and regional marketing with messaging and content.

  • Promote SAS through market communications, influencer marketing, and sales & marketing messaging.

  • Partner with internal teams to gather and analyze the impact and performance of content and programs in the Banking industry.

  • Support regional demand generation activities.

  • Drive thought leadership and market engagement activities including articles, whitepapers, blogs, speaking engagements and involvement with SAS event marketing and key third-party organizations.

  • Support sales enablement through Starting Block, Sales and Customer Advisory Academies, sales kickoffs, sales workshops, and industry/Focus Area/Value Proposition enablement training.

  • Keep a close eye on the banking-related content being continuously produced by global professional services firms to ensure SAS is in-step with, and aware of, the latest developments and trends.

What we're looking for:

  • Banking- or Financial Services-focused experience in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or a related function in the technology industry, preferably in product marketing.

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or other related field.

  • You're curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. These are ourvalues and influence everything we do.

Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements stated above.

Other knowledge, skills, and abilities:


  • Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques, channels, and business partner relationship development strategies.

  • Ability to develop content for, and work within marketing content management and sales enablement software platforms.

  • Strong skills in independently developing professional, high-quality PowerPoint presentations and documents in other standard office applications with little need for revision.

  • Knowledge of the Banking and/or financial services industry and market.

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • A combination of expertise, skills, and knowledge to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

  • Values and character traits of authenticity, accountability, creativity, curiosity, trustworthiness, collaboration, credibility, confidence, flexibility, and passion for the value of analytics in the Banking industry.

  • Ability to translate technical information into simple, audience-appropriate language.

  • Public speaking experience at physical and virtual events.

  • Ability to travel.
