Job Description

WANTED: a mission driven Senior Network Engineer with a Secret Clearance.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will:

• Provide critical support to National Priority programs.

A week in the life of a Senior Network Engineer:

• Travel to Air Force Bases with a deployment rotation of 1 week travel and 4-5 weeks work telecommuting.
  


• Travel to customer locations and perform site surveys/customer interviews to identify and document existing network and IT equipment, infrastructure (communications, power, HVAC, etc.), and floor space in preparation for new equipment installation.


• Develop comprehensive site survey reports and migration and installation plans for equipment upgrades.


• Travel to customer locations and perform new network equipment installation, configuration, and testing.


• Isolate and resolve complex hardware and software problems involving the application, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination and track and report the status of related trouble tickets, network issues and work orders.

Job Requirements

• Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance


• Technical degree or equivalent in experience.


• Requires A+, Security+, and /or Network+


• Five years minimum experience as a Network Engineer.


• VLAN experience. Certification preferred.


• ACL experience. Certification preferred.


• Cisco Software and Routing. Certification preferred.


• IP and DHCP experience. Certification preferred.


• Excellent customer facing skills


• Familiarity with moving large data applications from customer premise to new environment

Skills and abilities:

• Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with a high energy level and willingness to aggressively take on responsibility.


• Demonstrated ability to approach job responsibilities with a focus on process improvement.


• Excellent computer knowledge and experience.


• Able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management


• Sound technical experience in assessing network support requirements as well as conducting required administrative tasks required for the projects.


• Strong verbal and writing skills.
