Quality Control Inspector

Job Purpose:

Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated. May assess draft and final label copy, using knowledge of labeling regulations. Minimizes down time by reducing production rework and recalls.

Nature of Duties:

• Stand or sit at an inspection station.


• Perform visual inspections at each work station.


• Working knowledge of hand held measuring equipment.


• Working knowledge of CMM and optical comparator.


• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).


• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.


• Capable of interpreting common drawing call outs.


• Know and understand SES-TE-SOP 7.0-01 Workmanship Standard.


• Know and understand SES-TE-SOP 8.3-01 Material Review Board.


• Know and understand SES-TE-SOP 7.4.1-02 Supplier Line Rejects.


• Know and understand SES-TE-SOP 8.3-02 MRB Hold Area and Rework.


• Know and understand SES-TE-SOP 8.2.4-01 F1 C=0 Sampling Plan.


• Know, understand, and perform other procedures and duties as required.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer background in Quality Assurance.
