What you will do
The Director, Project Management (PM) has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing the projects they are assigned. The PM organization is focused on external clients/customers and projects. This is not a technical PM organization—it is focused on deployment and implementation of solutions, hardware and services. The Director, PM is responsible for identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives.
He/she is also responsible for ensuring appropriate management, customer and supplier involvement throughout the life of the project. Possess the ability to lead and motivate people and encourage teamwork, an ability to communicate effectively with senior management, and a clear vision of what determines a successful solution for the customer and for the company. In addition, the Director, PM must have a sufficient technical background to understand the technologies and technical issues involved with the product, to be able to anticipate and identify critical technical obstacles, and to make accurate technology decisions. The Director, PM also must be able to manage project schedules and task details and utilize project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling software and to delegate appropriately. He/she must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making. How you will do it
This position is responsible for establishing the PMO organization as a center of excellence.
Define the project management process, standards, deliverables and operational cadence
necessary to ensure consistent project execution.
Oversee Project Manager billing, to ensure targeted utilization is achieved, while monitoring
overall Customer satisfaction.
Manage and balance Project Manager’s workload and assignments.
Work closely with the Customer and Sales organization to resolve service delivery issues with
a continuous focus on maximizing sales productivity.
Ensure development of all PM’s including appropriate certifications and training as part of a
comprehensive development plan.
Ensure that all team members understand their roles and accept their responsibilities.
Be responsible for ensuring a Risk Analyze process is in place and instigate avoidance
activities. Establish contingency plans and identify trigger events are in place.
Regularly track progress on all project plans and provide up-dates to executives as requested.
Work with PMs to analyze actual performance against the project plan and make adjustments
consistent with plan objectives. Provide on-going developmental feedback to PMs as
appropriate.
Ensure PM’s keep all stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
Manage project scope and deliverables through a structured change management process to ensure customer expectations are met, while protecting Sensormatic revenue objectives.
Report on Installation financials including margins, contractor costs by project, District and Region.
What we look for
BA/BS degree in Business, Operations Management, IT, or a related field.
10+ years’ work-related experience managing a large-scale projects or a PMO office.
Project Management Professional certification.
Strong judgment and proven ability to balance growth, retention and service targets against operational capability.
Experience is supporting sales activities for new customers.
100% Remote position-Can sit anywhere in the United States.
Expected travel: Approximately 15% on average.
