Golder is seeking a Geology/Geophysical/Environmental Field Technologist to join our geophysical and environmental practice based in Decatur, AL. Although located in Decatur, AL, you will have the opportunity to work at project locations throughout the U.S., as well as international assignments. In this role you will have opportunities to use your knowledge and skill in environmental science, geology, geophysics, and hydrogeology, troubleshooting, etc. to provide world-class consulting services to a variety of clients.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Assist as a field team member on various geophysical survey projects, including seismic refraction, seismic surface wave, electrical resistivity (ERI), self-potential (SP), electromagnetic (EM) ground penetrating radar (GPR) and borehole logging projects with a wide range of downhole tools.
• Providing technical support for hydrogeologic and remedial investigations, hydrogeologic testing, groundwater monitoring programs, surface water monitoring programs, and wastewater monitoring programs,
• Performing Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM standards,

Required:

• A Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences (Geology, Geography, or Environmental Science) is required,
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required (Word, Excel, Outlook),
• Candidate must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to qualify as a DOT registered driver, but a CDL is not required,
• Ability to lift and transport a minimum of 60 pounds on a regular basis during work,
• The travel demands of this position could exceed 90% of the time and periodically require the candidate to adjust personal schedules to meet project requirements,
• Candidate will be required to complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training, 24-hour MSHA surface miners training, and 10-hour OSHA construction training
