The HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR is responsible to ensure all guest rooms meet JC Resorts LLC standards of cleanliness, order, and provision, prior to occupancy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, include but not limited to:

• To understand and respond to all guest needs in a timely and professional manner.


• To assist, as directed, in the training, counseling, and evaluation of Housekeeping staff, to ensure performance standards established by the Director of Housekeeping.


• To be completely familiar with rooms standards established by the Director of Housekeeping.


• To ensure that all Room and Turndown Attendants have adequate quantities of all required rooms supplies.


• To conduct daily inspections of occupied and vacant guest rooms, as assigned.


• To immediately report maintenance needs and deficiencies in cleanliness or supplies of rooms inspected, and take appropriate corrective action, as directed.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: High school diploma or equivalent required.  English fluency required.  Spanish fluency required.  Must have minimum two years hotel Housekeeping experience, including one year in supervisory position.  Familiar with OSHA, SB198, local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service.  Courteous, friendly manner.  Good team player.  Customer service focus.  Able to work productively with little supervision.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to effectively manage staff.  Trustworthy and reliable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands and walks moderate to long distances throughout shift.  Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks.  Frequently required to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over moderate distances.  Frequently required to move equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. over short distances, using appropriate hand trucks and carts.  Flexibility and good reflexes required.  Frequent use of stairs, daily.
