AJM Packaging Corporation is a leading manufacturer of branded and private label paper products, including plates, bowls, cups, and bags. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are looking to add an Assistant Production Foreman to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Directly perform the standard work functions of a specific workgroup or department.


• As required, assist supervisor in the planning and organizing of a workgroup, department, and/or shift in such a manner as to ensure that production machinery uptime and production throughput is maximized – in quantity and quality.


• As required, provide supervisory support to staff to include but not limited to: designating work assignments, providing instruction, and reviewing completed work.


• Monitor equipment to ensure satisfactory performance and assist in the checking of the quality of the finished product. Note any trouble source or issue and notify the Foreman and/or supervisor.


• Help ensure that staff strictly adheres to all safety rules, guidelines and procedures.


• Assist in the tracking inventory levels of supplies and notify Foreman and/or supervisor of any exceptions.


• Complete all other duties the Supervisor deems necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required; two years or more of high-speed manufacturing experience preferred; three years or more of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is helpful.
