The Opportunity:

The Data Investigation Sr. Manager will be an expert in the collection and analysis of physical and digital evidence in order to come to conclusions of fact. The position will assist the corporation in upholding ethical business standards, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, responding to crisis situations, and investigating fraud theft, and other nefarious and non-compliant activity. The position will independently identify and extract relevant data and evidence from a variety of sources by conducting investigations, forensic reviews, data recovery, surveys, as well as physical and electronic discovery.

What Your Impact Will Be:


  • Work closely with other GSI investigators, the Law Deprtment, HR, Internal Audit and IT.

  • Be responsible for managing data collection cases through the entire lifecycle (case planning, intake, acquisition, examination, presentation and disposition).

  • Identify availability and reliability of internal digital and physical evidence

  • Research and utilize publicly sourced and legally available data.

  • Be responsible for performing complex, large-scale digital inquiries to include collection in a live client-server environment utilizing validated remote forensic software (e.g. EnCase Enterprise Edition).

  • Conducting examinations of evidence and prepare such for trial if required

  • Manage the physical GSI lab including its integrity and upkeep,

  • Manage GSI Lab software including annual software license renewals

  • Be responsible for GSI Lab evidence storage and retrieval including backup tape management and documentation.

  • Ensure preservation of electronic and physical evidence.

  • Coordinate legal review of new data gathering tools.

  • Stay up to date on current events in the industry and attend training on a regular basis.

  • Provide oral and written communications concerning results of inquiries.

A successful candidate might have experience and expertise with:


  • Corporate investigations and/or audits

  • Financial crime investigations

  • Regulatory compliance reviews

  • Fraud risk management and fraud prevention

  • Intellectual property inquires and unintended release of trade secrets

  • Litigation support

  • Background research services

  • Data extraction of Mac, PC, and Smartphones and knowledge of file decryption

  • Electronic discovery, information security, network and Microsoft Active Directory administration, Windows Server and PC/Mac/iPhone/iPad operations/configuration.

  • Experience with the following operating systems: Windows, Windows Server, Macintosh, and DOS.

  • Attribution extraction from digital and online evidence

  • Providing technical guidance and assistance to legal and other staff

  • Investigative lab practices, procedures, and evidence handling.
