Overall Purpose:

Lead plant efforts in achieving safety goals and objectives, including but not limited to incident investigation & corrective actions, leading safety team, behavior-based safety program, ergonomic evaluations, job hazard assessments, and others.

Coordinate and maintain systems to ensure plant-wide environmental compliance to local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain records of all environmental activities and communicate with plant, corporate, and external agencies of all processes and procedures. Coordinate all activities associated with hazardous and non-hazardous material use, activities and procedures to maintain ISO-14001 compliance, and compliance with environmental policies and procedures.

Assist in repairs and maintains machinery and equipment according to manufacturer's specifications. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus of the machinery and equipment such as the electrical components.

Responsibilities:

Technical/Functional Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience working in a team environment

Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and competing priorities

MIG and/or TIG welding prefered

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

OSHA 10 hour preferred

Physical Requirements:

Verbal & written communication

Requires frequent lifting and bending, reaching, fingering, near acuity and depth perception.

May required prolonged periods of standing/walking

Vision: Near/Distance/Color

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and hand tools

May participate in hearing conversation program

Operates powered equipment

Environmental Conditions: Frequent impact noise, seasonal heat.

Protective Clothing and Personal Devices: Safety glasses, safety shoe
