Role & Responsibilities:

The role focuses specifically on Client Engagement, Transitions and Valuations lead in North America for the Custody Middle Office business. The Custody business is driving an aggressive agenda to enhance client experience and build scale. This requires assimilating a large number of ideas generated at all levels (primarily by Middle Office & Product Development) into a structured framework and the right amount of rigor in governing initiatives is important to enable targeted, strategic decision making.

The Client Engagement, Transition and Valuations lead will have supervisory responsibility for the team in North America, and additionally functional responsibilities globally for key programs, objectives and deliverables. This will require:

- Operating in an executive capacity, making decisions of wide latitude in line with the strategic objectives of the key programs with Product Development, Technology and Operations team

- Stakeholder management at senior level across technology, operations, product and product development.

- End-to-end ownership, execution and delivery of the Middle office programs driven by the North America based team

- Articulation of business needs, requirements to technology, prod dev in line with overall business strategy

- Ensuring all key programs establish target operating model including standard artefacts, test and regression test deployment

- Provide transparency to management through project governance by ensuring deadlines are met, strategic initiatives are delivered within budget, and strong adherence to risk mitigation

- Produce summary presentations and overview materials for program stakeholders Acting as an ambassador across global teams and driving up the understanding and skill-level of the wider Middle office teams

- Understand resiliency planning, budget and headcount forecasting

- Locally manage the Transitions and Valuations teams within North America

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:

- Strong background in Securities Services with awareness of the following: Custody Middle Office, product & process knowledge

- Experience in driving large scale initiatives, operating model reviews, strategic implementations and automation

- Strategic mindset with a fundamental desire for continuous improvement and client engagement

- Conceptual knowledge of AI/ML and its applications; experience in digital pipelines (e.g. Access Fintech, etc.) a plus

- A track record of involvement in change programs implementing new business processes and controls

- Ability to face off to senior and global stakeholders, managing their expectations

- Strong understanding of the trades transaction lifecycle, cash management and corporate actions a plus

- Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills

- Independently motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, while working effectively in a team setting

Skills:

- Exceptionally strong communication skills, both written and verbal, clear articulation & storytelling based on audience

- Build relationships across various stakeholders including senior business executives; Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to understand/address operational and technical issues; program/project management skills a must

- Candidate must have a control focused agenda, and a thorough understanding of program/project risks

- Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work, strategic thinking coupled with practical execution

- Ability to manage a changing business landscape, anticipate issues and aggressively drive initiatives to ensure results, be a self-starter and have the ability to learn quickly

- Influencing skills to promote change leadership

- Ability to partner and lead in a virtual team environment across multiple locations
