We are accepting applications for a Natural Resources Administrator 1 - Canal Program Administrator within the Office of Real Estate and Land Management, Franklin County.  The address is 2045 Morse Road Columbus, OH 43229. What you will do…


  • Acts as specialist for Natural Resources Real Estate Programs, Canal Lands, Real Estate Transactions and other assigned programs;

  • Plans and coordinates real estate activities (e.g., property owner negotiations, fee acquisitions, easements, license agreements);


  • Coordinates Miami and Erie Canal issues (e.g., leasing, transfers to local government and lease management agreements, title work); 

  • Performs miscellaneous administrative duties (e.g., analyzes reports and studies and recommends course of action, prepares reports and correspondence; coordinates meetings);


  • Serves as liaison with other divisions and local, state and federal agencies and directs real estate public inquiries and provides informational assistance to internal/external customers.

Completion of graduate major core program and 12 months experience in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver’s license.

-Or undergraduate major core program and 24 months training or 24 months experience in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position; valid driver’s license.

-Or 48 months training or 48 months experience in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver’s license.


-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
