Weston & Sampson is seeking a Architect Senior Job Captain with 8+ years of experience for our Albany, New York office. Candidates should have substantial experience as a productive member of a project design team with strong technical and Revit skills. Our Facilities group is a multi-disciplinary architectural & engineering design group located in Albany, NY and Boston, Foxborough, and Reading, MA. We foster a collaborative and innovative design process with a focus on multi-faceted and complex Public Works, industrial, and recreational facilities for municipalities throughout New England, New York and the Southeast. https://www.westonandsampson.com/services/structures-facilities/facilities-architecture/



What you'll do:

• Assist project manager in developing project documents for bidding and construction.
• Experience with the development of construction documents for public sector facilities is desirable
• Responsible for the development and coordination of the drawings and speci?cations including: program compliance; code and agency compliance; schedule commitments; product research.
• Organize and direct the architectural and in-house engineering team to execute the work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner.
• Occasional travel to our Massachusetts offices is expected.

What you will bring:

• Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, con?dence and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors and facilities project team members
• Proven ability to function in all phases of project development from schematic design through contract administration
• REVIT/BIM fluency is mandatory, working experience with AutoCAD desirable
• Competency in construction detailing is a strength
• Familiarity with New York State Wicks Law public procurement requirements a plus
• Professional degree required.
