Description

This position will perform all entity enrollment and individual commercial and government provider enrollment as well as credentialing file coordination for all AMSURG Anesthesia entities. The individual will also be responsible for revalidations, problem resolution and escalation of issues to AMSURG Anesthesia management team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for enrolling and renewing all AMSURG Anesthesia entities as required by state and federal programs, commercial payers and other agencies.

* Submit Medicare, Medicaid, Railroad, TriCare, etc., entity and individual applications for AMSURG Anesthesia.

* Remain in constant and regular correspondence with state licensing agencies and federal regulatory agencies such as Medicare to ensure applications are being processed in a timely manner.

* Utilize provider enrollment and credentialing systems to draft and complete various commercial and government applications, renewals, etc., for individuals and entities.

* Meet time sensitive deadlines for enrollment of entities and individuals, working within a strict time frame, setting priorities and using discretion to exercise confidentiality.

* Attend regular AMSURG Anesthesia team meetings to understand priorities for provider enrollment, outstanding issues requiring resolution and to escalate known issues related to provider response time or payer issues.

* Work with AMSURG Anesthesia providers to gather and coordinate credentialing files at time of selection; organize file, track missing items and submit completed files to AMSURG Anesthesia management team for review and dissemination to surgery centers.

Regular and reliable attendance required.

Successful candidate will pass a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

Associates degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one (1) year experience with Licensure & Certification is required. Paralegal preferred. Knowledge of Completing Medicare 855B Applications preferred.

Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance.
