Bryan Health is looking for a seasoned recruiter that aligns with our mission to advance the health of individuals in our region through collaboration with physicians and communities.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for recruiting, screening and interviewing applicants. Acts as a consultant to assigned Bryan Health leaders for Talent Acquisition (TA) needs including planning, recruitment and hiring. Represents Bryan Health at assigned events internally and throughout the community. Identifies, develops and facilitates presentations related to human resources for internal and external clients as assigned.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

2. Works directly with advertising vendors regarding direction for advertising platforms, placement, designs, content and schedule; ensures advertisements are appropriate for Bryan Health and the job position opening.

3. *Confers with hiring manager to determine direction of interviewing and any assessment tools to be utilized.

4. *Reviews and identifies the most qualified candidates for openings; screens applicants, forwards applications to hiring manager; acts as a consultant to the hiring manager in determining the best candidate, appropriate salary and other considerations surrounding the hiring process; interprets results of pre-employment references and discusses findings with the hiring manager.

5. *Develops local and national recruitment plans using both traditional and creative applicant sourcing ideas.

6. *Utilizes a variety of recruitment techniques including direct calling and online sources to generate qualified candidates.

7. *Analyzes outcomes of pre-employment assessments for applicants and provides management staff with interpretation and feedback.

8. Analyzes online application system updates, changes and enhancements to ensure the system continues to meet the needs of Bryan Health System.

9. *Maintains assigned positions and applicant database via the online application system (ATS) throughout the hiring cycle in a timely manner.

10. *Answers questions and provides information to Bryan Health System personnel regarding employment policies, requirements and general employee benefits; communicates with applicants regarding the status of their application and the hiring process; works with Employee Health for return to work issues.

11. Works with local high schools and college students to provide assistance with student career search activities and mock interviews; conducts class presentation on HR-related topics, including writing resumes and cover letters, professional conduct and interviewing.

12. *Attends local, state and national recruitment events.

13. *Uses labor market information to plan for current and future recruitment needs; projects potential vacancies, plans for areas of difficulty and works with management on staffing related issues.

14. May act as employment resource/support for displaced staff including providing resume/cover letter assistance and interviewing appearance and skills review.

15. Works with vendors regarding promotional recruitment items; evaluates the cost and relevance of the items for target audience.

16. Engages in educational and professional growth opportunities to stay informed of changes in the HR profession; networks with area colleagues regarding hiring practices, compensation and incentives.

17. Participates in local HR association; serves on committees throughout Bryan Health Systems as assigned.

18. *Responsible for providing all necessary documentation for new hire and transfer process and compliance.

19. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge in the principles of employment and human resources practices; thorough understanding of the Bryan Health mission, personnel policies, procedures, and the environment/philosophy of the departments assigned to.

2. Knowledge of the Nursing Practice Act, labor laws, regulatory requirements

3. Knowledge of recruitment methods and rationale for developing effective recruitment and compensation benefit programs.

4. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.

5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and writing.

6. Ability to work cooperatively with others, communicating both positive and negative information in a tactful manner.

7. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.

8. Ability to record and reflect observations.

9. Ability to react to and perform under stressful and emergency situations.

10. Ability to travel via car or plane, representing Bryan at various recruitment and employment functions.

11. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information.

12. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of two (2) years' HR experience required. Commensurate experience may be considered.
