Telesis (a Belcan company) seeks an IT Technician in the Silver Spring, MD area for a 3-month contract. In this role, you will work ensure an inventory of hardware is maintained while ensuring eOrders for various government divisions are completed logged accurately. You will need to have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
General Job Duties:
Create and maintain hardware inventory of the equipment listed in eOrder system and future system where eOrders will be processed on SharePoint Online or any other asset inventory application/tool that might be recommended by CITL support staff. The selection of the tool or application to maintain the asset inventory shall be approved by CITL PM or COR.
Reconcile invoices related to hardware management e.g.: OITSS monthly invoice, IT non-warranty repair invoice etc.
Manage the list of authorized users who are approved to submit eOrders.
Contact CDER Senior Management Officer (SMO)s to provide the list of authorized users who can submit eOrders for their office. Update the list once in the beginning of the fiscal year (FY) and again in the beginning of third quarter of FY
Maintain and update the list of property location codes, when necessary to assist in approval of the eOrders
Assisting CITL PM in conducting IT data calls that may be assigned by CDER leadership or OIMT
Assisting OIMT with validating the number of actual non-standard software licenses for CDER.
Communicating NIH cost (Client OIMT's software vendor) for non-standard software to CDER regulatory user community.
Conducting data calls to gather new requirements or proposals for the need of new technology within CDER.
Conducting additional data calls as requested by OIMT regarding to policy reviews, software research, software testing and cost management.
Provide a summary of all Data Call received and due dates as part of CITLs weekly meeting agenda.
Knowledge/skills:
2-4 years of relevant experience and thorough working knowledge of IT analysis methods and practices.
Active Public Trust preferred
Hands-on ServiceNow experience
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal and management skills.
Proficient in the use of MS Office Excel Macro.
Excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills required.
Experience working in a government environment is preferred.
