Job Description:

We are looking to bring on a detailed-oriented and experienced Safety and Quality Coordinator to create, modify, and manage training and safety and quality. The Quality and Safety Coordinators responsibilities include implementation of reporting and training, onboarding new hires, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the communication to leadership. This role should also be able to closely monitor the quality and safety to ensure that production is performing, and methods are enforced.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the implementation of reporting and training: forklift training, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, fire extinguishers, respirator program, Alarm and Sprinkler Systems, contingency plans and misc. trainings as assigned.
Responsible for completing and maintaining all reports and records required by OSHA, EPA, DNR, local government, and any other governing bodies that have requirements and report to leadership.
Comprehension of all OSHA and regulations as the job requires. Obtain the training required to continually perform the job as regulations change.
Work with leadership to continually improve and enforce all aspects of Health and Safety.
Maintain, and document all processes and procedures for safety and quality. Implement these methods to ensure production is performing and methods are enforced.
Develop all new and existing Form 100's and control plan for all items produced. These processes must be monitored and updated daily, so all the proper information and documentation is available for production.
Train all leadership on safety methods and quality procedures that have been developed. Document the training that has been performed, and ensuring all employees are following company quality methods and procedures
Meet with customers, as needed, to identify and address concerns to ensure them of the steps needed to complete their project are being done.
Maintain a process improvement plan as directed by the Controller. This includes reviewing all Non-Conform material reports and assist in developing new methods used to solve the production problems related to these jobs.
Create and maintain the inventory control to be used in production.
Responsible for the database, organization and maintenance for all company tooling and racks.
Maintain and check all measuring equipment (micrometers, profilometers, pull gauges, etc.) on a scheduled basis as defined in our quality manual.

Education/Qualifications

Preferred Associates or bachelor's degree and/or 3 years' experience in quality and safety in a manufacturing or production environment.
Preferred experience in a shop floor/production training and quality function.
Work efficiently in fast-paced environment with lots of moving parts while balancing competing priorities.
Expediting and/or organizational skills in a fast pace environment.
Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Critical Thinking Skills - an ability to identify a problem, develop a solution and implement the solution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Knowledge of general safety regulations related to manufacturing such as OSHA.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Preferred experience using ERP Systems.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration.
Comfortable generating and analyzing reporting data.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
