What do you get to do in this position?

• Supports daily production assembly and test operations.
• Works directly with all employees.
• Uses design drawings, specifications, and bills of material to support production.
• Actively learns assembly and test processes to develop in depth knowledge of operations.
• Evaluates bills of material, engineering drawings and other documentation, work instructions, and engineering specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to understand mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic product applications and functions.
• Ability to understand cellular, RF, and Bluetooth technology and troubleshoot test errors.
• Works closely with engineering / software on new product introductions: designing for manufacturability, assisting with PCA test fixtures, production validation, and working with suppliers for production setup.
• Responsible for product realization of new products.
• Analyzes, recommends, and submits design documentation changes when applicable.
• Provides vendor support for PCA and other test equipment.
• Identifies and drives continuous improvement projects for existing products.
• Verifies and validates test software versions.
• Acts as liaison between engineering / software systems and manufacturing.
• Collaborates with operations, purchasing, quality, design engineering, and software systems teams.
• Assists quality personnel in creating and maintaining forms, work instructions, and other process documentation as needed.
• Assists quality group personnel in dispositioning nonconforming material.
• Ensures full compliance with safety and quality procedures.
• Makes rational decisions using evidence, experience, and feedback from others.
• Possesses a strong work ethic, ability to work well individually and in teams, effective communication and time management skills, and a positive attitude.

This job might be for you if:

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years applicable manufacturing engineering experience.
• High mechanical aptitude required.
• Electronics troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Software/Tools Used: Microsoft Office, SQL, various CAD software, CodeSoft Label View, BarTender Software, AS400 MACPAC
