We’re looking for a Product Configuration & Program Manager.

As a Product Configuration & Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading the introduction of Primary Storage New Product and Timeless Program initiatives for HPE. This role includes evaluating requirements, design documents, and managing major system changes from design through post-implementation support. Key factors for success will be demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams to execute a common goal and to accelerate HPE’s transition to a SaaS based business model.

Responsibilities:


  • Drive and manage introduction and sustenance of Solution driven New Product Introduction (NPI) & enhancements for Primary Storage, including Timeless Program delivery, in HPE Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and up and downstream applications

  • Create detailed business requirements, process flows, use cases, create and execute test scenarios and plans, as well as obtain necessary agreements and sign-offs

  • Assume the role of Program Manager where necessary

  • Serve as trusted advisor in training and supporting Global Sales, Channel Partners, and Product Management on NPI and Timeless programs and processes

  • Assist technical teams in understanding reported issues

  • Identify relevant analytics, metrics and assist end users with reporting needs as required

  • Work with teammates and management to identify process improvement and/or sales training opportunities.

  • Get in-depth knowledge on HPE Primary Storage install base and be able to troubleshoot and communicate data and issue analysis to stakeholders

  • Participate in end to end testing and coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure successful and smooth launch

  • Track and resolve backlog of issues and come up with creative and feasible solutions to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Monitor performance metrics and drive process improvements necessary to achieve bug-free NPI releases

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members

Requirements:


  • Experience in project management, systems implementation processes and software product development lifecycle methodologies and practices

  • Experience with an enterprise scale CPQ application preferred

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and SalesForce.com is a plus

  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice with respect to CPQ

  • Ability to understand complex product configurations and deliver solutions focused on technological improvements and improved process efficiency

  • Possess technical competence to collaborate with developers to establish an architectural vision

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be comfortable supporting large user base and able to maintain professional demeanor when dealing with distressed users

  • Experience designing and implementing policies, processes, and tools to provide operations support for sales activities

  • Strong analytical, statistics and problem solving skills

  • Understanding of business and sales operations processes and practices

  • Ability to effectively communicate sales operations plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels

  • Pays attention to detail; instills quality in all deliverables

  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to lead meetings internally and externally

  • Quick-learner, self-motivated, takes initiative, and drives hard to meet deadlines

Education and Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's or Master's in Sciences or degree in Business Management or equivalent

  • Typically, 2-3 years’ experience

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Experience designing and implementing policies, processes, and tools to provide operations support for sales activities

  • Strong analytical, statistics and problem solving skills

  • Understanding of business and sales operations processes and practices

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Mastery in English and local language

  • Ability to effectively communicate sales operations plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels
