The Financial Systems Functional Support Analyst is responsible for the support, maintenance and enhancements, for the Accounting and Financial Applications.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regular communication with business users to identify critical and high-value business needs that should be implemented in underlying business application software centered around Oracle Financials Cloud (OFC) , and peripheral applications like Concur and Integify
Identification and documentation of business reporting requirements at a level of detail that will support corresponding build/fix
Coordinate with bank on interface and system issues, updates, and patching
Functional support and problem resolution for the following, OFC modules - GL, AR, AP, CM, Projects and Procurement.
Assist with regression testing for patch & bundle updates
Coordinate with business and perform subledger close for various OFC modules
Maintain and troubleshoot workflow related issues within system processing
Meet with the end-user groups to proactively find ways to improve the processes
Work as Business Analyst for requirements gathering, design and testing of key functionality resulting from Continuous Improvement efforts
Coordinate monthly meetings with the accounting groups for ticket resolution and prioritization
Utilize various reporting tools in the Targa's application landscape (example: OFC, PowerBI, OneStream, Concur) to design and build reports and dashboards
Research and propose any changes or enhancements
Analyze and work with the accounting groups to assist in translation to system requirements and enhancement
Translate and coordinate with IT teams on the build and support of RPA based automation solutions
Estimating effort for tasks, working with business users and management to set priorities and working towards meeting those goals
Providing functional expertise and direction to technical development teams
Working closely with the business during key processes, such as month-end close, year-end processing and financial reporting
Assist in developing/revising business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in OFC
Assist in design and development of ad hoc reports and queries, when necessary
Assisting in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc presentations for team status
Putting together documentation and training of end users when necessary
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, Finance/Accounting, Computer Science or related discipline/equivalent work experience
2 - 4 years of work related experience
Systems production support and testing experience
Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors
Ability to think critically, solve problems independently and exercise excellent judgment and common sense
An organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic
Ability to work self-sufficiently given direction and resources
Well-grounded, preferring to work in a collegial and team environment
Intermediate computer skills (Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Able to multitask between production support, enhancements, testing and special projects
Functional experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud), SQL and related products
Solid accounting and business acumen with a strong understanding of financial business processes
Understanding of audit and regulatory requirements and the ability to track and provide support
Required to carry a cell phone and be available outside of normal work hours, when necessary
Regular and reliable attendance is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Background in working on Financials modules of an ERP like Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud
