TheNetApp Cloud Insights (CI)&OnCommandInsight (OCI) teamis looking for a Sr. Java Developer to join the team that helps the largest enterprises and organizations in the world to manage their highly complex data centers and infrastructure across private and public clouds. On theOCI/CI team you will solve the problem of collecting and interacting with massive amounts of data to deliver intelligent operational management, data analytics, and business insights.



As a Software Engineer you will work as part of a fast paced team responsible for the developing and maintaining the Cloud Insights software suite. The product is responsible for collecting and analyzing data from large-scale heterogeneous environments to assist enterprise customers in managing and optimizing their datacenters. TheOCI & CIproductsareused by several Fortune 500 companies to manage and analyze datacenters with dozens of petabytes of storageand tens of thousands of distinct devices. Itis a significant revenue generator for NetApp. As a member of the research and development group, you will take part in developing, testing, and releasing data collection packages.



This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technologicallysavvy, and driven to produce results.


Job Requirements


-5+ years of Java

-Advanced core Java knowledge

- Familiarity with protocols preferred(HTTP, SSH, SNMP, SMI-S, etc.)

- Exposure to system design and concerns(memory management, multi-threading, etc.)

- Understanding ofdata collection technologies preferred(Telegraf,collectd,FluentD,Netflow, Logstash, etc.)

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Familiarity with SaaS deployment and operation preferred

- Aptitude for learning new technologies

- Understandingof complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices

- Ability to estimate work completion required to build an overall predictable plan

- Resourceful in applying creative ideas to solve problems


Education


Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
