Overview:

Under direct supervision of the radiology supervisor, theRadiologyTechnologist willperform routine radiographic procedures, utilizing all standards for quality and radiation protection.

The Radiology Technologist providesdirection for clinical student radiographers andpossess a knowledge of anatomy, equipment protocols,radiation safetyand protection.

Provides personalized care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient. The X-Ray technologistwill provide the patient care essential to the exams.

The RadiologyTechnologist usestheirexpertise inRadiologytechnology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases and expand their knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the RadiologyTechnologist andX-Ray technologistfields.

Qualifications:

• 
  Experience:New Radiology graduates welcome


• 
  Required Education:High school graduate and successful graduation from a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology


• Preferred Education:


• 
  Licensure: Current Arkansas State Department of Health Radiologic Technology License


• 
  Certifications:Current BLS certification. ARRT certification. New grads will have 6 months from start date to receive ARRT and State license.


• 
  Other:Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.

  Working conditions, mental and physical requirements: This individual must be capable of: manipulating X-Ray equipment including mobile and other equipment; carrying cassettes; selecting and manipulating exposure factors, evaluating radiographs; lifting, moving and transporting patients' continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to fast pace daily work load; communicating effectively.
