Through the Expedited Freight segment, the Company operates a comprehensive national network to provide expedited regional,

and other services including final mile, truckload, shipment consolidation and deconsolidation, warehousing, customs brokerage
and other handling.
The Company's Intermodal segment provides first- and last-mile high value intermodal container drayage services both to and
from seaports and railheads. Intermodal also offers dedicated contract and container freight station (\"CFS\") warehouse and handling
services. Today, Intermodal operates primarily in the Midwest and Southeast, with a smaller operational presence in the Southwest
United States.
Position: Vice President, Commercial Brokerage
Job Description:
The Vice President, Commercial Brokerage has complete responsibility for the profitable growth and development of the commercial brokerage operation. This includes the successful development of customers, the selection and development of employees, and the ultimate execution of all shipments. They will work with the company and departmental sales staff to help close new customers as well as play a role in directly closing new customers themselves. The Vice President, commercial brokerage will be responsible for business planning, budgeting, P & L management, management of key metrics, employee productivity, and efficiency to deliver company objectives.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Establish business plan and strategies to achieve branch objectives
Develops relationships, business practices, and information flows to convert potential business to realized brokerage revenue and profit
Select, coach, and motivate customer and carrier facing team members
Manage processes, systems, incentive and recognition programs to ensure accountability for financial growth performance and profitability of transportation brokerage business
Work with recruiting and departmental training entities to ensure defined recruiting and training programs are followed
Ensures necessary documentation and communication with customers and carriers
Ensures company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced (i.e., accounting, operational, safety, regulatory, and administrative)
Operates within agreed budgets for the brokerage operations
Understands sales performance versus target objectives, identifies reasons for variance, communicates results and implements necessary changes. Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:
Self-motivated problem-solver with strong desire to meet customer needs
Undergraduate degree in Transportation, Logistics, Management, or related field preferred.
7 - 10 years of experience in transportation/logistics with direct brokerage experience required
3-5 years in a supervisory/management role, preferably in brokerage leadership in a startup or fast-growing brokerage operation
Desire for a long-term career with an industry leading company
Ability to present and maintain apositive corporate image in a fast paced environment
Proactively establish and maintain effectiveworking team relationships with all support departments
Must be proficient with MicrosoftOffice products including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
