Senior Manager, Supply Chain

• Creatively develop, negotiate, and manage purchasing contracts reflecting the results of world class sourcing initiatives including achievement of key single source items. Ensure on an on-going basis there are no raw material shortages and production has what they need to achieve forecasted volume targets especially when we are in a growth period.
• Owner of the DS LIC procurement policy and responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the policy.
• Provide overall leadership for the sourcing functions of all spend categories. Serve as the leader and mentor of all sourcing professionals in the LIC Organization.
• Work with collaborate closely with senior Leaders and communicate overall sourcing strategies and cost savings efforts
• Understanding world-wide trade dynamics, creatively develop and execute a cost effective and reliable global logistics operating strategy for all modes of transportation (air, rail, truck, marine, etc...).
• Develop methods to ensure compliance with all international trade and customs requirements
• Ensure world class suppliers are in place during the early stages of all new product development.
• Ensure all product costs are accurately placed into the MRP system prior to the launch of serial production of all new products.
• Provide accurate material control forecast into the MRP system for all products based on previous sales history and input form Marketing and Sales.
• Participate in Corporate Indirect Procurement Team in York, PA. for Logistics and IT. Maintain records for all cost savings efforts.
• Oversee a +$20 Million/year direct material purchasing budget
• Oversee all in-bound and out-bound freight logistics functions.
• Oversee all in-house material control, cycle counting, inventory adjustments, and Shipping and Receiving functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree minimum
• 6 -10 years or more directly relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Skills and Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of theories and practices within the Sourcing and Logistices professional field
• Working knowledge of the principles and practices of other diverse professional fields within a high tech manufacturing environment
• Ability to develop new methods and policies
• Strong wrtten and oral English skills
