Job Description:

Arcadis seeks a Project Controls Manager to join our Roseville, CA office. The successful candidate must be technically and administratively sound and have experience in leading Project Controls on Design Build delivery method building projects. Candidate must be organized, with strong collaboration skills, and have a proven record in leading Project Controls for a large project team. This position will direct and manage the Project Control systems on a large complex high-rise design-build renovation project. This position may also support general scheduling reviews for a variety of projects across the state of California. Scheduling activities would include review and analysis of contractor baseline schedules for logic, float, compliance with specifications, etc. as well as monthly review and reporting of contractor schedule updates, TIAs, etc.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Must be able to work independently with responsibility for reporting results.

  • The role is responsible for analysis of schedules, managing complex project financial information, and cost analysis reports for the project construction management team.

  • Develops and maintains budgets and monitors adherence to project schedule.

  • Works with Estimators on cost reports to identify potential gaps, failures and/or discrepancies that could be encountered in the project execution.

  • Must understand construction means and methods.

  • Prepare and develop documents to process change orders.

  • Schedule and negotiate potential change orders.

  • Performs monthly Estimate at Completions on project.

  • Reconcile program and project controls data with the design-build team.

  • Provide oversight of a Document Control Manager to effectively ensure all project documentation is well coordinated an easily accessible.

  • Produces monthly variance reports for schedule and cost.

  • Present results of schedule and cost analyses to Project Director and client.

  • Prepares technical and administrative reports as needed.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree related to the construction industry.

  • California public works project experience.

  • 12 years of full-time construction industry experience

  • 8 years performing as a Scheduler for building projects.

  • 2 years in the position of Project Controls Manager.

  • Design-build delivery experience.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Professional Degree related to the construction industry.

  • Professional certifications such as PSP, CCP, CVE, DBIA, CCM, and LEED.

  • Experience with P6 Scheduling Software
