Job Description:

An Engineer Plant Operator is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As an Engineer Plant Operator, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Visually inspect, operate, maintain and repair mechanical equipment in the power plant and mechanical rooms throughout the facility using knowledge of building mechanical systems such as water distribution, steam supply, pressure reducing stations, and chiller and high pressure boiler operation. Operate fan systems and maintain temperature controls. Read blue prints and technical manuals, disassemble and reassemble equipment associated with all mechanical systems using various tools and equipment. Involves movement of heavy materials including salt for hotel's softener systems.
• Follow manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations for preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the physical plant and mechanical areas of the hotel. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on the mechanical equipment.
• Log and maintain all required readings for physical plant of the hotel
• Maintain, test, log, and adjust water treatment readings for mechanical systems of hotel including the boiler, chilled water, condenser, and other closed loop systems
• Maintain boiler and chiller rooms of hotel in a clean and orderly condition including painting as necessary
• Monitor and adjust hotel's Building Automation System including but not limited to meeting room temperatures, public space temperatures, air handlers, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.
