Description:

This position support the DCGS program at Robins AFB, GA. The Equipment Specialist shall support configuration management activities using Military Handbook (MIL-HDBK)-61A, Configuration Management Guide, and shall apply logistics best commercial practices and DoD directed concepts such as Performance-Based Logistics (PBL), Public Private Partnership (PPP), and supply chain management in performance of this work. The Equipment Specialist shall perform configuration management tasks (including management of DRs) (reference DI-ALSS-81535, Deficiency Report and DI-ALSS-81534, Teardown Deficiency Report) and apply the principles, criteria, and procedures of configuration management in support of systems and equipment acquired or sustained. The Equipment Specialist shall be subject to compliance with the requirements of AFMCI 21-301, Air Force Materiel Command Technical Order System Implementing Policies, and other applicable AF and DoD instructions, policies and procedures relating thereto.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • MA/MS with 12 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience

Or BA/BS with 15 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience

Or Certifications with 20 years programmatic experience with 8 years DoD experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience overseeing the efforts of all staff, IPT, or overall team effort.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
