We are currently searching for Fabrication Shift Leads to be based out of Weatherford, TX. Reporting to Fabrication Manager, the Fabrication Shift Lead's primary focus will be to coach, mentor and support the Fabrication shift on a daily basis and be responsible for the overall shift performance as it relates to quality of product and achieving production goals for each shift.


Prior success as a Fabrication Machine Operator or equivalent position at Atkore and experience in lean manufacturing or a business system based company is a plus.


Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Identify work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite work flow

  • Issue written and oral instructions

  • Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures

  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers

  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances

  • Monitor productivity and assist workers with productivity problems

  • Coordinate product needs with Fabrication Manager / Plant Manager

  • Allocate and distribute product based on availability and customer priority

  • Report inventory discrepancies to Inventory Control & CSR


Qualifications include:



  • Associates degree and a minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training in the field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Time management, planning, and organizational skills

  • Effective decision making and problem solving abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • Strong initiative and adaptable to change

  • Must be able to thrive in a team environment

  • Need to be detail oriented and have safe work practices

  • All associates must embrace and foster and environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability.

  • Lean Manufacturing Principles

  • Effective computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products
