Purpose of the Position

The Director of Development Operations and Analytics is responsible for leading a team of 10+ analysts, database administrators, and gift entry staff to accurately enter 220,000 gifts annually, generating insights that will drive the fundraising efforts of Second Harvest forward. This position will partner with IT to transition from Raiser's Edge to Salesforce in the near future.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with IT to transition donor information from Raiser's Edge to Salesforce.


• Develop, implement, and optimize analytical processes and associated KPI's to assessoverall fundraising health.


• Partner with fundraising and marketing teamsto derive insights from data and translate those insights into highlighted opportunities, actionable recommendations, and strategy.


• Support annual budgeting, strategic planning,and other business processes.


• Collaborate withteams to execute and analyze testing of communications and solicitations with various donor segments and prospects.


• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing data systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.


• Oversee accurate gift processing, donor database management,and gift acknowledgment systems.


• Support the departmental on-boarding and development staff training program as it pertains to user knowledge and proper use of Raisers Edge and Salesforce.


• Driveforward an ongoing Raiser's Edgeand Salesforcetraining program.

The ideal candidate will possess the following professional qualifications:

• Five years or more managing CRM systems and report creation.


• Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Classy, andOmaticexperience preferred.


• Understanding of fundraising and/or sales.


• Excellent planning, organization,and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.


• Strong knowledge of principles and best practices of fundraising and donor stewardship.


• Analytical thinker with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.


• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and priority-setting abilities are critical to success.


• Excellentverbal and written communication skills.


• Strong mentoring and coaching aptitude; listens effectively, demonstrates empathy towards individual concerns and drives conflict resolution; promotes a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
