6 Month Internship BMW NA – EG-8-US-1, In-Vehicle App Development

We offer a 6 month internship in the department of product development and validation for infotainment and advanced driving assistance systems. The intern will be integrated into a highly motivated and international team and work mainly on the following tasks:

•    Support the development of in-vehicle apps to be used for upcoming feature concepts.

•    Create software code using programming languages like Javascript/Typescript and Node.JS stack

•    Support the validation engineering group on their daily tasks, that can include – but are not limited to – validation of features, reporting of defects, creation of product requirements

•    Support the validation engineering team on test drives in all necessary topics (vehicle read outs, prototype protection, preparation of vehicles and more)

•    Get to know new technologies and different fields of work

Minimum Requirements:

•    Student status meeting one or more of the areas below: 

o    Enrolled in Bachelor’s Studies during Junior/Senior year (years 3 or 4)

o    Enrolled in Master’s Studies Program 

o    Graduated no more than 12 months prior to internship start date

•    Prior internship and/or relevant work experience 

•    Availability to work full-time for 6 months

Preferences:

•    Field of study:  Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar

•    Strong interest in app development and/or automotive technology

•    Advanced communication skills and strong capacity for teamwork

•    High motivation for learning new technologies/processes in a dynamic working environment 

•    Ability to express technical knowledge in English

•    Preferable German language skills
