Position Description:
The Team Leader is responsible Production Technicians, Machine Operators, Material Handlers on their shift. As well as being responsible for providing functional guidance to team members and overseeing training programs that will enable growth from a Machine Operator, to a Production Technicians.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for promoting all safety culture pillars.
Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Initiate action for food safety issues.
Leads associates to help ensure efficient container production.
Ensures products are in accordance with customer specified requirements.
Ensures the Plant’s Quality Policy, Operational Procedures and high production standards are maintained at all times.
Ensures products are in accordance with customer specifications. Works with quality representatives to resolve quality issues.
Trains, coaches, and counsels team members. Resolves associate issues and concerns.
Works with maintenance and engineering representatives as needed to resolve machinery and equipment problems.
Monitors productivity, quality, downtime, and scrap trends. Reports on production performance. Initiates improvements.
Adjusts staffing levels as needed.
Leads regular associate communication meetings.
Qualifications:
Mechanical skills, exhibited by related mechanical experience, or a minimum of a two-year university or technical school degree or equivalent, or a combination of education and related experience.
Supervisory experience and/or other leadership experience and skills.
