Job Description:

Financial Analyst

Overview

Perform accounting support functions for commercial properties and properties under redevelopment/construction consisting of office, retail, industrial, and garage space. This position requires close coordination with Property Managers, Construction Managers, corporate accounting, AR/AP, lease administration and external vendors. The Analyst reports to the Accounting Manager, while accepting direction from the Senior Financial Analysts.

Responsibilities

Manage relationship between Construction Managers and Accounting, including review and general ledger posting of accruals, construction job tracking, and internal reporting.
• Manage relationship between Risk Management and Accounting, primarily with reporting/tracking of insurance events.


• Assist with Property, Corporate, and Portfolio monthly capital close process, including subledger reconciliations and fixed asset adjustments.


• Monthly executed lease review and leasing capital job setups.


• Completion of quarterly lease liability reporting.


• Handle the processing and reconciliation of tax appeal invoices.


• Monthly real estate tax payment verification report and coordination with tenants regarding delinquent and upcoming tax bills.


• Ad-hoc special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business/Accounting with 3.0 minimum GPA.


• Basic understanding of general ledger activity, preference with Yardi application.


• Proficiency with Excel and other MS applications.


• 2+ years of experience within the commercial real estate industry.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.


• Must be team oriented and a problem solver.


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.


• Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.
