Smiths Medical is hiring anInbound Warehouse Supervisor at our distribution center in Olive Branch Mississippi.

TheInbound Warehouse Supervisor's main responsibility is to direct and coordinate activities of personnel and lead tasks essential to the continual operation of the warehouse by performing the duties aligned with this position either personally or through subordinates

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving and general inventory control * Directly supervise activities of Warehouse Staff


• Work closely with Customer service and RA/QA to ensure that all required services are provided in a timely and cost effective manner.


• Train and develop subordinates to perform all necessary activities of their positions, develop and provide performance measurement criteria, and take corrective action to address any personnel issues when necessary.


• Monthly reporting on shipping/receiving as a KPI (key performance indicator)


• Review and verify accuracy of work inventory


• Ensure inventory locations are up to date and operating efficiently


• Enter Ship/Confirms daily in conjunction with Procurement


• Ensure all shipping manifest stations are up to date via UPS, FedEx & Oracle


• Provide safe work environment for department employees.


• Overall supervision of all Warehouse activities


• Train new employees


• Help facilitate enhancements to Warehouse operations


• Perform annual employee performance reviews


• All other duties as assigned.


• This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).

Requirements

• Secondary Education (High School) required


• High School Diploma or Equivalent


• Forklift Operation Certification


• 3 years previous supervisory experience in a warehouse environment


• Computer knowledge (MS Office, Oracle preferred)Skills
