POSITION OVERVIEW

As a representative of the Healthcare IT (HIT) division, the Canon-facing education organization at Vital Images, the Technical Education Specialist is responsible for providing world-class content creation and delivery of technical education within Vital, globally to Canon Group Companies (CGC), resellers, distributors, and platform partners. The Technical Education Specialist will be the subject matter expert internally at Vital Images and Canon at large with the goal of driving Canon Group Company product education, enablement, adoption and support for the global business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain education content and deliver value proposition following a consistent, prescribed teaching methodology.


• Contribute in developing new education curricula for on-line education via AWS and other platforms.


• Address technical issues and ensure resolutions are delivered in a timely manner with the primary goal of enabling our colleagues to support all company solutions both inside and outside of the organization.


• Maintain an understanding of the individual modality clinical dataflow


• Understand and maintain understanding of our Enterprise Imaging (EI) Solution as it pertains to installation and upgrades.


• Work closely with technical writing teams on step-by-step manual creation.


• Provide appropriate messaging to Vital, Canon Group Companies, and to subsidiaries regarding product functionality, roadmap and intended product use.


• Collaborate with engineering and product management teams across the organization understand new and existing EI platform enhancements and capabilities and provide global feedback on the product.


• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and report findings to management.


• Keep current on new technologies pertaining to the role through continuing education.


• Attend industry-related seminars and conferences and present information to cross functional teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Associates Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience


• 3+ years technical experience supporting server, networking, architecture issues in multiple customer environments


• Proficient in networking technologies and troubleshooting methods


• Experience understanding enterprise level network architecture


• Experience with supporting software systems and the integration of such systems into customer environments


• Knowledge in Linux, Virtual Machines, containerization, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and have a good understanding Microsoft Windows Server Operating System, Microsoft IIS web server, and SQL Server


• Proficient in AWS systems


• Ability to provide regional education sessions as necessary


• Travel up to 60%
