About the Position

VHB is searching for an HR Administrative Assistant to join VHB's People & Culture team, partnering with a dynamic team of Human Resources, Communication and Design professionals. This position will be based in Orlando, FL or Watertown, MA. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of administrative support experience, enjoy working independently while contributing to a team and have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.


Responsibilities


  • General administrative support for the HR team

  • HRIS maintenance, including distribution of data reports and maintaining employee records

  • Conduct employment verifications

  • Organize and maintain electronic HR records and files within our HRIS system

  • Edit HR information on company intranet

  • Prepare documents, letters, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations

  • Arrange travel accommodations and process expense reports for HR leadership team

  • Coordinate meetings and HR & People Culture Team events and projects

  • Conduct research for HR related projects and initiatives

  • Work in partnership with the Learning & Development team to coordinate and track employee participation in training programs

  • Collaborate with VHB's People & Culture team to support a positive culture and employee relations environment across the organization

  • Various other duties as assigned

Skills and Attributes


  • High energy level; comfortable multi-tasking and performing both tactical and strategic projects

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, tact, and discretion

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and listening skills

  • Fully proficient with MS Office suite

  • Experience with HRIS software a plus

  • Team oriented with strong capability to work independently

  • Willingness to proactively identify issues and make recommendations, and/or take the appropriate action to move projects forward

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Qualifications


  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably supporting an HR department or other senior level employees

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in HR or related field preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a team effort

  • Experience in a professional services firm preferred
