Huitt-Zollars's Tacoma Washington office has a ProjectEngineer in Urban Development oportunity. HZ isa leading full service designfirm providing innovative planning, engineering, architectural design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to our clients in the public and private sector. Responsibilities:

* Produce design plans of streets, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water for various commercial land development and residential projects

* Plan production will include preparations of plan and profiles of streets and various other underground utilities common to land development

* Assist project manager with of design plans, specifications, construction support, cost estimating, geotechnical coordination

* Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, paving plans, etc.

* Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor

* Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings

* Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes, and assist with general project correspondence

* Compose and prepare graphic materials for presentations and documents

Requirements:

* BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

* Washington State EIT Required, PE Preferred

* 2 to 5 years of experience in civil design

* Advanced AutoCAD, Civil 3D

* Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

* Knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques

* Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects

* Ability to read redlines and modify drawings accurately

* Strong organizational skills

* Ability to work in a team environment
