As part of the R&I
360 deployment, the Physical Chemistry and Transversal Team in Cosmetic
Application Domain in Clark, NJ work on inventing technology platforms in order
to boost the performance of our materials, with a focus on the physical property
and structure relationship between materials in complex formulations and Beauty
2030 challenges.

We are
seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Physical Chemistry & Transversal Team Cosmetics Application Domain Team in Clark, New Jersey.

You Will . . .


  • Work as a transversal technical
    person to provide technical supports for all innovations across Cosmetic
    Application Domain (Skin care & color cosmetics)

  • Design and conduct experiments
    (individually or under supervision) to evaluate innovative
    technologies/raw materials, to generate fundamental technical
    understanding of materials in complex formulations and to provide
    consultation or guidance to L'Oreal R&I community

  • Develop new predictive models
    which are able to correlate the performance of products both in-vitro and
    in-vivo.

  • Contribute to L'Oreal
    Sustainable Innovation and Sharing Beauty With All (SBWA) visions, by
    applying green chemistry principles, evaluating internal & external
    technology candidates, and creating appropriate prototype
    formulations.

You Have . . .


  • A B.S., M.S., or PhD in
    chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, colloid science, polymer science
    or materials science, with 0 - 5 years industrial working experience in
    cosmetics /personal care/consumer products/ healthcare/chemical
    industries. Prior academic or industrial experience with either
    physical chemistry/analytical chemistry/instrumentation or formulating
    cosmetic / household / pharmaceutical products is a plus

  • Demonstrated laboratory skills
    in independently analyzing, reporting and documenting information with
    attention to details.

  • Excellent communication
    (verbal, written) and interpersonal skills required with high sensitivity
    to a very diverse global culture
