What You Will Do
As the Project Engineer, you will performadvanced engineering tasks under limited supervision. You will help to mentor the engineering design team in development projects throughout the entire cycle from initial concept through completion.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Participate in industry groups.
Perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision.
Oversees all aspects of a significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.
Develops an action plan and estimates requirements for resources-management, labor, materials, and time required to complete project.
Prepares monthly reports, detailing progress and costs for top management.
User of CAE tools such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA.
Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures, and provides advice on issues within the engineering field.
Analyzes and identifies causes of component failures.
Capable of providing technical solutions to help solve manufacturing issues or address customer field issues; has some familiarity with multiple operations.
Use team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development.
Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
Finish assigned engineering projects in accordance with customer specifications and within schedule and budget limitations, coordinating activities of engineering team, contractors, and vendors.
Lead brainstorming activities for specific needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum 3 years of related experience
6 sigma or FMEA experience a plus
Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis
Knowledge of SAP and MRP systems a plus
Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Power Point and AutoCAD
Uses team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development.
Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
