General Summary


Position is responsible for the strategic direction of Murata Electronics North America's digital marketing team to enable the industry best digital marketing, social media, and content creation programs to successfully promote Murata components. Leader is responsible for uncovering and utilizing data about customer preferences, needs, and behaviors to build strategies, drive alignment, and guide and measure execution.


Essential Job Responsibilities


Build and lead team driving the digital marketing / Marcom strategy through the delivery of campaigns, Search Engine Marketing, content syndication, and social media experiences that drive customers to Murata.com to quickly find, select, design and buy Murata Components.


  • Act as front-line system subject matter expert representing the MEA Digital Experience team in both global enterprise and local initiatives. Must interact extensively with the marcom team in Japan.

  • Be an agent of change, shifting the business mindset to focus on listening to customers, understanding customer needs, and constantly improving campaign performance.

  • Build and lead a high-performing digital experience team that stays ahead of changes in customer behavior and digital trends, while being data-driven.

  • Develop a meaningful way to measure the impact and performance of marketing efforts. Work with CX team to implement the proper technology and reports for performance.

  • Build strategic relationships with internal MENA stakeholders and proactively initiate ideas to significantly improve business knowledge and support of product communications

Responsible for MENA's events and virtual events strategy.


  • Overall responsibility for the strategic roadmap, schedule execution, reporting and performance. Driving new contacts through events.

  • Establish virtual event strategy and platform to give customers access to live and recorded events and video.

  • Understand traffic patterns and customer behavior on the site with an eye for constant improvement.


Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities


Work closely with the business units and global team on the strategic direction, roadmap, and execution for technical and systems-oriented content.


  • Develop a short-term and long-term strategy for the Murata America's content creation.

  • Curate content through the businesses and direct creators based on customer preferences and performance.

  • Drive a content delivery strategy on external sites through syndication. Work directly with customer experience team to develop strategy.

  • Alignment on content- gating and 3rd party content syndication strategy

  • Establish proper taxonomy structure, PIM and DAM strategy for content.

Be an effective leader of leaders and team members through behavioral change management and new processes and strategy.


  • Adoption of Agile methodology

  • Talent development in the digital space

Leverage outside training and learnings to advance the digital transformation strategy for MEA.

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, MIS, or Communications

  • 10+year's operational experience required and at least 10 years of digital marketing experience

  • Prior experience working in reporting, analytics, functional design and best practices

  • Previous solutions experience, working with and influencing sales professionals and executives

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts in an understandable way to a non-technical audience to all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: enthusiastic attitude and ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team

  • Strong project planning and management skills preferred

  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.

  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to demonstrate strong work ethic


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Information Systems

  • B2B marketing, CRM experience

  • Fundamental knowledge of content development.


Travel


Frequent domestic travel.
