Job Description

Danfoss in Loves Park, IL is searching for a ManufacturingEngineer Technician to join their team.The role will provide total manufacturing support to a highly automated production line located in Loves Park. The support will concentrate around troubleshooting, repair and maintaining an electronic automated manufacturing assembly line. The role can also participate in assisting other production lines within the facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the production manufacturing equipment


• Performs preventative maintenance inspections, calibration, and routine Maintenance


• Enters maintenance, preventative maintenance records, and part usage in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)


• Debugand troubleshootSiemens PLC ladder logic


• Ensures uptime of Potting Equipment


• Monitors automated equipment throughout production run to ensure operation is within specified process parameters.


• Reads schematics, electrical drawings, or engineering instructions to assist installation, troubleshooting, and repair of process equipment.


• Repairs or replaces electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components as necessary.


• Works on assigned machinery rebuild projects as necessary.


• Knowledge of OSHA requirements to include Electrical Safety, machine Guarding, and lockout tag out procedures.


• Recommend, purchase, and install equipment and/or supplies


• Supervise contractors, as required


• Follow and (Support) company policies/procedures


• Participate in project teams, as required


• Participate in Root Cause Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement tasks

Background & Skills

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required


• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or electrical related field is preferred


• 3-5 years' experience in production maintenance or related technical position


• Experience with robotic systems, programmable logic controls, potting/dispensing automation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, belt and chain conveyor systems


• Preferred systems: Siemens PLC, Kuka/Festo Robotics


• Strong knowledge of electrical systems.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems


• Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office


• Able to function well in a team or group environment


• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task


• Welding, Fabrication, and strong use of hand tools
