This role is integral to proactively developing programs and partnerships that support our objectives of a diverse and inclusive workforce. As a critical part of the Talent Management Team within HR, the Manager, Workforce Diversity & Talent Pipelines will lead a team responsible for establishing and implementing workforce development programs, partnerships, capabilities, metrics, processes and sourcing strategies. This role will report to the Director of Talent Planning and Recruitment and includes developing and maintaining relationships and synergy across Human Resources, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Innovation and Corporate Strategy functions, and the business while applying an understanding of Ameren's business strategy, culture, values, and workforce needs.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Take a strategic view of programs that drive diversity of our pipelines that support inclusion and assess them to ensure impact and success.


  • Develop and execute a prioritized plan to build diverse talent pipelines which includes a focus on how to enhance/build additional recruiting programs or partnerships to address current and future talent gaps.


  • Lead a team focused on the design and execution of diverse talent pipeline programs and projects to support the diverse pipeline strategy.


  • Leverage data and external benchmarking to stay on top of trends, create insights, strategize, and ensure recommended short and long term actions needed to drive a more diverse workforce at Ameren are identified.


  • Collaborate with the broader HR team and business leadership to create effective workforce development solutions which meet workforce needs and aspirational representation goals and are aligned with Ameren's strategic workforce planning including workforce projections and staffing plans.


  • Develop and manage best practices, tools, training, etc. as it relates to workforce development.


  • Identify and leverage effective benchmarks and metrics with ongoing monitoring to build programs that will ensure outcomes are being achieved and program effectiveness. Measure and assess program impact, partnership effectiveness, candidate experience and hiring effectiveness (e.g., conversion).


  • Enable managers and the talent team to be involved, committed and accountable to ensuring fair and equitable talent processes.


  • Integrate and collaborate on ESG related matters with focus on effectively communicating workforce messages (with specific focus on workforce development).


  • Ensure strong internal and external messaging is developed to enable Ameren to tell our workforce diversity "story" as part of broader external and recruitment communication strategies.


  • Act as a SME for HR bykeeping current on developments, opportunities, and metrics/trends inside and outside Ameren and inject that knowledge into Ameren's programs.


  • Identify opportunities to better leverage internal resources and engage Ameren co-workers, ERGs, and leadersto play an active role in workforce diversity and sustainability.


  • This role will help review and consult on our talent and recruitment processes and programs to ensure the ability to select and develop qualified, diverse talent into the organization.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or other relevant discipline required. Master's preferred.


  • 5+ years of leadership experience leading programs, processes, project teams, high level work or people leadership required.


  • 5+ years of relevant talent management professional experience in workforce development, diversity, equity, and inclusion, workforce planning/development, talent attraction and/orrecruiting programs preferred.


  • Practical experience researching, designing and/or implementing and delivering on large-scale project or programs aligned with strategy required.


  • Experience delivering on workforce strategies to attract, develop, and enable a diverse workforce required.


In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking and decision-making skills. Possess strong communication, organizational and leadership skills and have experience with facilitation and presentation.Proven ability to build relationships and deepen connections with diverse people, groups, and communities across all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, functionalities and generations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead direct reports and influence others.
