Job Description:

Chase is seeking experienced Mortgage Underwriters with lending authority for permanent Remote Work At Home Underwriting roles. Located anywhere within the United States, and ability to work from home full time permanently. As a Remote Senior Underwriter, you are the highest-level underwriter designation within the underwriting team. In this role, you will manually underwrite and review submitted files to analyze for Capacity, Capital, Character and Condition. This includes ensuring that loan requests meet program and product specifications. In addition, you will communicate decision (approval, suspense, denial) to appropriate individuals, uphold fair lending practices of JPMorgan Chase Mortgage, meet targets for productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

• Minimum of five years mortgage underwriting experience
• Minimum of five years in the mortgage lending business
• Thorough knowledge of state policies
• Thorough knowledge of complex personal and business financial analysis and is proficient at cash flow, balance sheet and corporate tax return analysis.
• Knowledge and proficiency in all levels of mortgage underwriting including Non-Agency, Jumbo and Super Jumbo lending.
• Experience in manual underwriting
• Excellent analytical and decision making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Capability to engage in video conferencing
• College degree preferred
