The Asset Liability Management Finance (ALM Finance) team is seeking a results oriented, accountable and highly dependable candidate for an exciting and challenging  Senior Financial Reporting Associate opportunity on the General Account Finance team.

The successful candidate chosen for this position will have ownership of the credit reviews reporting, other financial analysis and forecasting functions along with the presentation of analysis to key constituents for the PGIM Real Estate Finance managed portfolio.  The incumbent will have some responsibilities for the PGIM Real Estate as well. The analysis is primarily focused on understanding key drivers impacting credit analysis for commercial mortgages and commercial real estate along with the related investment income and balances for these asset classes.  The incumbent will have the opportunity to expand his/her skill set in a broad array of accounting and financial reporting areas that currently support PFI's General Account.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, offer new perspectives, seek to make continual improvements in process and analysis and remain flexible when faced with shifting priorities.

Headquartered in Newark, NJ, the General Account Finance team is responsible for all reporting of credit reviews, accounting, financial analysis and forecasting for the General Account assets managed by PGIM.  This is a great opportunity with significant interactions and dependencies including PGIM Real Estate Finance business partners, Prudential Asset Resources, Finance Shared Services, Accounting Policy and various other PGIM and Corporate teams.

Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Partnering with PGIM Real Estate Finance, Special Servicing and Operations to prepare the quarterly CECL General Account Loan Loss Reserves for the general and specific commercial mortgage loan portfolios.


• Prepare quarterly forecasts for PGIM Real Estate Finance which includes interaction with business partners as well as ALM.


• Prepare annual CECL model assumption review documents for the general loan portfolio in collaboration with Enterprise Valuation Group, ALM and key PGIM Real Estate Finance business partners.


• Prepare the monthly and quarterly close reporting deliverables including Embedded Derivatives, TIC-B, High Risk Subsidiary Tax and distributions.


• Prepare and support all financial statement footnote disclosures related to the commercial mortgage loan portfolio.


• Ensuring compliance with SOX processes, performing SOX annual walkthroughs and responding to audit requests.


• Support preparation of PGIM Real Estate forecasts and Net Investment Income analytics.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, CPA a plus


• 1 - 3 years of accounting / financial analysis experience


• Knowledge of fixed income investments a plus


• Strong interpersonal, communication and partnering skills


• Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment


• Self-motivated and proactive; willingness & a strong desire to learn


• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills


• Detail oriented; pays attention to details


• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills


• Ability to foster and build relationships across multiple departments
